Black Velvet (BV)
BV is a STUNNING 5 year old Shire Quarter Horse cross with all the chrome! As his name suggests, he is dark and smooth! BV Stands just over 15 hands and is a beautiful seal brown color with 4 white feathery feet and a forelock that touches the tip of his nose!
We have used BV wherever he's been needed from branding, dragging kids in the sled, spring bear hunting and on the trails with my 12 year old daughter. BV has a smooth rocking chair lope and one hand neck rein that you won’t find on every draft cross. He is a pro in and out of the arena, great around cattle, has been driven double and knows a day’s work. Truly a pleasure from the time the halter goes on until quitting time. BV is guaranteed to be a pleasure on the ranch or in the backcountry and will engage all obstacles with ease and confidence. BV is good to catch, clip, shoe, keep and load and gets along solo or with the herd!
